What's in a Name?

Why Dino?

We have been asked a few times now, why Dino? Well, we were looking for a name that reflected his character and age. We also owned two cats, called Fred and Wilma. It seemed to make sense that we added to out Flintstone family. This left us with BamBam, Barney, Pebbles , Betty and Dino. The choice from here was obvious! We feel that not only does Dino reflect his age and strength, but also gives us the chance to paint him purple if we get the urge!

Well, finally my various injuries and ailments have caught up with me. Having recovered from my back ailment (doctor has diagnosed it as an ulcer - I'm not so sure), I went out for a run to get me back into it, only to twist my ankle quite badly. This led to another 10 days rest, and has finally made me concede that I will not get myself fit enough to do the full marathon. So I have downgraded my aim to the half marathon. I managed to get out for about 7 miles today, and felt pretty good. I think now that I have moved to this more suitable distance there will be a fair few New Forest runners upping their training schedules!
