Winch

Some people say that a winch is too heavy to bother with, but we like the security it gives us. We have used it several times in our various off roading escapades and it certainly does the job it says on the tin. This one is wired up so to use it you need to open up the bonnet and use it from the passenger side, which can be a little bit of a pain, but isn't a showstopper - yet!

Most books we have read have advised us to go on a separate winching course, but as these come in about £400 per person we have just had a few tips from fellow overlanders/off roaders.
