Central Asia 1st June - 1st September 2009

Central Asia is probably the most incoherent part of our route. There are so many uncertainties at the moment, that the only certainty is we have to get through to China somehow. The map below does not show one possible route through the Caucasus which we can still consider if other routes don't go our way. In all reality this part of the route will not be decided finally until much nearer the time. We will keep the route up to date with our latest ideas.

Some of the potentially difficult countries that we want to cross are: Iran, Afghanistan, Georgia and Pakistan. We are not ruling out any of these countries, at least without thorough research, and not just hearsay.
