It's hard to know what to say about these two. Firstly they circumnavigated the world on a sailing boat, now they are traveling in an old VW van. Caused a stink in yachting circles because they refused to stay with the crowd in many senses. |
Andrew, Anne and family, setting off in 2010. Anne and Ollie have been comparing notes on, amongst other things, a desire for something to tow :) |
Andy and Karen who set off on 7th August. Andy's been giving me tonnes of tips - good fella! Ollie met up with them just before they left. Nice friendly couple. |
Rest of

Nick and Vicki - leave in 2010 for South
Africa |

Driving via the Beijing Olympics. With kids in tow. Looks like crazy fun! Toyatoa has broken down 1-0 to the landies! (Sorry Graham - I appreciate it's probably not a laughing matter for you, feel free to add a comment when Dino dies in Europe :)) |
Went through the 'Stans, but coming up from Australia. |

notes about what to take |
Sophie's from our mechanics course. She left, on the Mongol Rally, in July 2007. She's going to be doing another trip soon. |
Sophie from our mechanics course and Driving Miss Daisey's latest crazy gig. Mental! |
I think the craziest of the crazy. Kids, a 2wd vehicle, a trailer, guns by Poland and through Mongolia. But they have done it. Wowee! |

Our mate Paul who rode through Africa on a motorbike |

Quite interesting watching this guy heading through Africa, as we nearly bought his vehicle. It was a toss up between this and Dino. He ended up turning back half way down. |
Their landy was called Dino too! Through Africa with some very interesting blog updates. If your an overlanding geek that is :) |
Bron and Andrew -This trip seemed to have a lot of problems. The website seems to be in the process of becoming an overlanding tips website. |
Martin and Debbie's trip down through Africa in their Landy Maggie. Met them at Billing, another lovely couple. Also the owners of the legendary Africa Overland website. |

The Experts |

Stuart and Paul couldn't be more helpful. Having been to a couple of other garages this ia by far the most expedition focused. We have had a lot of work done by them already and will be going back for more. Don't make the same mistake as we did and not go to them because they are too far away. They are worth the trip! |
My mate James the flying winger. He's done lots of work on Dino, and been very helpful. Cornwall's premier 4x4 man! |
Our local Land Rover club. Have made us feel most welcome, and well worth joining |
Paul at MyWay will provide the best roof tents that money can buy! We are happy to have MyWay as one of our sponsors and love our new tent. Get in touch with us or Paul if you want to discuss the benefits of these 2nd generation roof tents. |

Top notch site. Although Martin no longer seems to update it, but in the old days if you were traveling round
the world in a vehicle and had a website you needed to be on here! See more recent equivalents below. |
Again A1 place for information. Also has the HUBB, the best bulletin
board ever. |

One of several websites hoping to take on the mantel of being 'the' overlanders website. |
Another overland portal, this one having a slightly more American slant. |

Expert guides take you to areas rarely seen by tourists. We offer wildlife tours; 4x4 & motorcycle support including off-road recovery. Whether touring by 4x4, motorcycle, camper van or bicycle, we have it covered! |
