Below are listed the links that we have found useful whilst planning the trip. We will try and update these periodically. Also contact us if you want your website added (or removed!).

Current Trips
RTW or OZ
Bumfuzzle
It's hard to know what to say about these two. Firstly they circumnavigated the world on a sailing boat, now they are traveling in an old VW van. Caused a stink in yachting circles because they refused to stay with the crowd in many senses.
Overland With Kids Andrew, Anne and family, setting off in 2010. Anne and Ollie have been comparing notes on, amongst other things, a desire for something to tow :)
Land Rover Adventure
Andy and Karen who set off on 7th August. Andy's been giving me tonnes of tips - good fella! Ollie met up with them just before they left. Nice friendly couple.
Rest of the World
Nessies
Check out their website for comprehensive planning guides. These guys have also been very nice in answering my primary school traveling questions. Check them out, drop them a mail ....
Nick and Vic at Laangaban Sunset
Nick and Vicki - leave in 2010 for South Africa
Globe Cruiser
Henk from Holland. We think there is a good chance we will bump into Henk on his way ronud the world. My bet is the KKH!
Mog
Ollie quite fancies a Unimog one day, so is stalking this one from afar. Heading down through Africa currently.

Past Trips of Interest

RTW or OZ
Drive-to-Oz
Driving via the Beijing Olympics. With kids in tow. Looks like crazy fun! Toyatoa has broken down 1-0 to the landies! (Sorry Graham - I appreciate it's probably not a laughing matter for you, feel free to add a comment when Dino dies in Europe :))

Pumbaa

Went through the 'Stans, but coming up from Australia.
Lone Wolf
Have been chatting to Nick who is the man responsible for these guys at home. They have now finished.
Antipodean Adventure
Traveling in aid of ActionAid. Definitely a different perspective from the normal over lander.
The Beasts
RTW trip, now home after coming up against a wall of red tape in Central America .Started off my going to Oz. One of the first blogs we followed, sad to see them finish.
Dutch couple in 300Tdi went via Iran. Traveled round Oz and then Africa. Landie was for sale as of Jan 2008
London To Sydney
Sponsored to get to Sydney, via Iran and China
Road to Recovery
Trip to Oz via Iran and India. Good guide to expedition planning.
Overland to Oz
Excellent website, finished trip in 2002. Via Iran, Pakistan and China
Pete and Sue
Peter MrGrath and his girlfriend Sue backback round the world. Pete taught Ollie how to dance with a pintpot on his head.
Landyman
Graham has been giving us advice on off road trailers. Seems like a very nice man! Finished in 2004. Via Iran and India, including some very thorough notes about what to take
Daisy
Sophie's from our mechanics course. She left, on the Mongol Rally, in July 2007. She's going to be doing another trip soon.
Sophie
Sophie from our mechanics course and Driving Miss Daisey's latest crazy gig. Mental!
Freshwater
I think the craziest of the crazy. Kids, a 2wd vehicle, a trailer, guns by Poland and through Mongolia. But they have done it. Wowee!
Jungle Runner
Lots of info on expedition planning and packing lists.
Rest of the World
Afritrex
We met Ben a few months before he left. Him and his mate are doing lots of crazy things as they go through Africa. Marathons, summits, etc.
One Way South
Bruce and Sarah who we met at Billing 2007. They are returning home to South Africa in their Landy Ubhejane. Left at the beginning of 2008. Good luck guys :)
Ihana

Paul
Our mate Paul who rode through Africa on a motorbike
Our African Odyssey
Another couple from Southampton. left in September 2006
Bill's African Antics
Quite interesting watching this guy heading through Africa, as we nearly bought his vehicle. It was a toss up between this and Dino. He ended up turning back half way down.
Long Road Trip South
Their landy was called Dino too! Through Africa with some very interesting blog updates. If your an overlanding geek that is :)
4X4 Africa
Bron and Andrew -This trip seemed to have a lot of problems. The website seems to be in the process of becoming an overlanding tips website.
Big Sky Martin and Debbie's trip down through Africa in their Landy Maggie. Met them at Billing, another lovely couple. Also the owners of the legendary Africa Overland website.

Landy Stuff
The Experts
Foleys
Stuart and Paul couldn't be more helpful. Having been to a couple of other garages this ia by far the most expedition focused. We have had a lot of work done by them already and will be going back for more. Don't make the same mistake as we did and not go to them because they are too far away. They are worth the trip!
Penwith 4x4
My mate James the flying winger. He's done lots of work on Dino, and been very helpful. Cornwall's premier 4x4 man!
Shire LRC
Our local Land Rover club. Have made us feel most welcome, and well worth joining
MyWay
Paul at MyWay will provide the best roof tents that money can buy! We are happy to have MyWay as one of our sponsors and love our new tent. Get in touch with us or Paul if you want to discuss the benefits of these 2nd generation roof tents.
