Monday 7th August 2006 - Escaping the Prison Bars
Where Are We Going?
Well it's been a while since an update (thanks for all the reminders everyone!) I blame the hot weather and return to alcohol :)
We now have the basics up and running, and it would appear that we are definitely going on our trip. So it is time to start turning our attention to where we are going.
Up until now we have known that we want to end up in Australia, and known that we want to try and start off with seeing the Northern Lights. In between has just been a blur of vague European countries, a mash of 'stans and a flash of South East Asia. To be taken seriously this needs to change! So now we have a dual approach ......
1. JollyFollies Goes Proactive
As part of the continual development of the website we have started mapping our route, country by country. Each country is getting its own page, with some basic details, and links to any interesting websites we find. As we move from country to country we will have a better idea of our route and attractions along the way. We do reserve the right, however, to change our minds at any point :) Anyhow you can check out the first country, and further links here
2. JollyFollies Goes Reactive
Our second plan is to try get as many tips and as much advice from our friends as possible. So we have started a new topic on the bulletin board, asking for any tips that people have from their own travels or reading. So as well as the usual dribble about kissing bald men's nappers, we have started a great intellectual thread here
So friends, relatives, strangers, go forth, read, update and enjoy!
