Who is Ollie ?

Ollie grew up in the small town of St Just, in West Cornwall. Age 19 and half broken he left to study astrophysics at Newcastle University. Five years and 2 universities later he managed to escape with a 2:2 in Maths. After a few more years of finding himself (he was in a bar!) Ollie enrolled with a company promising four months of training in Cape Town. For Ollie this is when things started going right .......

The Ollie Interview

Why do you want to go on the trip?

Having always had rather straight forward targets in life I came to the stage when all these had been reached. I found myself working every day with no real goal at the end of it. Suddenly it dawned on me that it didn't have to be like this. Ticking away in the back of my mind I had always wanted an adventure. At the same time I am a big chicken, and so my natural fear had always won. But now that is suppressed and I'm ready to rock and roll!

What are you most looking forward to?

Waking up in a roof tent in the middle of nowhere, with my own agenda ahead of me.

Where are you most looking forward to seeing?

How far it is from UK to Oz.

What will you miss from home?

Cornish pasties, the cats and my friends and family.

What will you not miss from home?

Hangovers!

What are your interests?

Sport, this trip, weight watching and my friends.

What do you fear about the trip?

Hangovers!
