Who is Dino ?
In a past life Dino has worked for the water board, has traveled to Belize (rumored) and South Africa (confirmed). When Dino was a little posher he was called Biggles, but as Ollie is actually called Rupert, this was deemed to add to much extra poshness to the trip. Also Dino fitted in better with Jenny and Ollie's cats, Fred and Wilma. Dino was born in 1992, and when bought had 168,000 miles on the clock. This was a concern at first, but having added another 10k miles to that, Ollie and Jenny have seen at first hand Dino's greater strength; his reliability. He always starts first time (well when you forget about the replacement of his batteries and starter motor), and happily does all the work that people ask. Dino is a simple 200tdi, 110 Land Rover Defender, and is looking forward being the reliable one of the three on this trip.
The Dino Interview
Why do you want to go on the trip?
Ever since returning from South Africa Dino has fancied having another global adventure. Although rumored to be ready for retirement, Dino knew that he had at least one more adventure in him. Secretly Dino hopes that Jenny and Ollie will not stop in Australia and continue onto South America. Dino's great ambition is to eventually die on the road, going for the glory of a round the world trip.
What are you most
looking forward to?
Helping Jenny balance whilst she uses a SheWee.
Where are
you most looking forward to seeing?
Ollie squatting!
What will you miss from home?
The friendly Freelanders, Discoveries and Range Rovers that Ollie and Jenny have parked me next to in Southampton. Especially the Freelander with the big headlamps and shiny hubs!
What will you not miss from home?
Dogs cocking their legs.
What are your interests?
Mud, traveling, parking. Getting oiled.
What do you fear about the trip?
Ollie's driving!
